Juliet is a Specialist Paediatric Physiotherapist with extensive experience working with children in both the UK and Canada.

She graduated from The Middlesex School of Physiotherapy in London in 1988 and  worked in London before moving to Vancouver to work in The British Columbia Children’s Hospital.  Here she worked in The Special Care Baby Unit and Intensive Care as well as the wards.

On returning to UK she worked in a Community-setting in Plymouth and Cornwall, during which time she completed the Bobath Paediatric Course.

After moving to Bristol she returned to working in the Community implementing her extensive skills and knowledge of the Bobath concept with the children she treated.  During this time she gained experience working with families, doctors,  other Paediatric Specialists, teachers and SENCOs within both mainstream schools and Special Needs Schools.

She has a keen interest in working with children with gait abnormalities and Developmental Delay.

Juliet has a holistic approach to the children and families she works with.

She has three teenage children who keep her busy and loves skiing, cooking and yoga in her spare time.

Some kind words

Our daughter’s renal failure means that she is delayed with standing and walking at 2 and half years of age. We first started seeing Jules a few months back for an intense block of physiotherapy to build the strength and skills needed for her to eventually stand and walk.  It was really important that the physiotherapist specialised in paediatrics and could work alongside the NHS physiotherapists we also see. Jules immediately put us at ease with her friendly and professional approach and has built a good, trusting relationship with our daughter.  She uses play as a way to get our daughter to engage with the therapy.  Our daughter has really enjoyed all her physio sessions to date and we have seen a notable improvement in her movement.  She has begun to pull herself up and can climb up small steps as well as shuffle down stairs in a controlled manner!
